Astronomy On Wheels is a club sponsored education program that
coordinates with club members to bring astronomy and related subjects to the public. Club
members give talks explaining the science of astronomy and the mechanics of telescopes to church groups, scouts,
schools, and other organizations.
Member owned telescopes are used to introduce
the groups to observing simple objects like planets and the moon. An "AOW"
function can involve as few as one or as many as a dozen club members.
For more information regarding the Astronomy On Wheels program, please contact
the AOW coordinator, Leonard Pattillo.
